The work a regional sales director, a training manager, a QA lead, and a commissions clerk would each have done by hand is done here by named agents that write down what they did and why — and a named person signs anything that changes someone's standing or their money.

Spondeo is the binding-oath verb of Roman contract law — I pledge solemnly. It is the root of sponsor: the person who stands behind someone else’s word. On Spondea the verb is vouch, and it means the same thing it always has — putting your own name at risk for somebody else’s.

AI made everyone a builder.
A developer can now ship a working product in a weekend. What they cannot do in a weekend is find the hundreds of people who would pay for it, explain it in the buyer's own language, sit with them while it is installed, and still be answering the phone in month nine.
That work has always existed. It was called a distributor, a channel, a rep. It was also, for a century, an easy structure to abuse — which is why so much of the version of it that reached ordinary people asked them to pay just to take part.
Spondea is the same job done under a record. You bring yourself. You prove you understand the product. You are paid when a Client pays a Builder, and only then.

- Reads a Builder's Listing and drafts the brief a person selling it would need.
- Matchmaker
- Puts a Listing in front of the Advocates and Specialists whose Book says they can carry it.
- Examiner
- Sits the Viva. Asks, follows up, pushes back, and marks a thin answer as thin.
- Quality
- Reads the evidence behind delivered Specialist work and passes or returns it.
- Paymaster
- Computes every Vouch Rate payout and Split and writes it to the Ledger.
- Risk
- Flags what looks wrong and hands it to a person instead of deciding it alone.

I built this as one developer, in Kampala, because the people it is designed to reach are outside my own window. The Ledger is append-only because I wanted to be unable to quietly change my mind about what somebody had earned.
